Meet Jennifer French
After spending my childhood vacationing on Cape Cod, I finally made it to Martha's Vineyard the summer of 2010. After just a few more trips, the stunning beaches, fresh seafood, and small town “island” vibes had me hooked! I made the move to Martha’s Vineyard in 2012 and never looked back. I met my husband, who was born and raised on the island, and we feel so fortunate to be raising our children on our slice of heaven in West Tisbury.
Almost 20 years in the hospitality industry have helped me in my transition to real estate sales. I enjoy building relationships with my clients to make certain I know exactly what they are looking for in a property.

When we decided to purchase a house on the Vineyard, we didn’t truly know what we wanted: we had a rough Plan A (old house in the village), and a Plan B (a farmhouse with land). There was Plan C too, but we didn’t know it existed. It took a resourceful real-estate agent to bring it to light. We had the great fortune to have met Jennifer French of Today Real Estate. From the start Jenn worked with exuberance to show us homes we had asked to view, all the while gleaning important “what we were looking for” information. It was as if she began understanding our likes better than we did. Had she not, the home we purchased might never have been brought to our awareness: an 800 square foot, architect designed, 1980s cottage with magnificent views downwards over fields and stone walls, even of Vineyard Sound itself. During our viewing process, we toured many homes, asked many questions, inquired about rules, laws, tax information, you name it. Jenn was always there to educate. If she didn’t know, she found out by the next day. She never backed away from work. She also happens to be a charming person and, not surprisingly, the real-estate relationship segued into friendship. The work of an agent doesn’t stop once you’ve decided to make an offer, have it accepted, and then hopefully move to closing. In some ways it starts in earnest. This is where we found Jenn to be outstanding: in not only keeping everything on track, in seeking and finding compromises, in expediting a closing date (for a variety of our reasons) and so forth; all of which ratcheted up her workload. She never disappointed; we saw in her a person of integrity, diligence, and loyalty. She liaised with the attorneys, other agencies, the sellers (agent) with propriety, competency, and timeliness. All in all, she made a difference. Had we had a different agent, perhaps we would have settled for a lesser best fit home, or – at this point – none at all. But we love our new little home. Jenn made sure we got what we would enjoy. In summary, Jennifer French has all the attributes you want in the ideal real-estate agent. She puts head and heart into what she does with zeal, she is smart and knowledgeable and also flexible, creative and suggestive, never imposing. Perfect.Jeff B. & Sibyl S.
